Dunno why since young i feel mac got a very sterile taste. The food tastes quite artificial. And theres a artificial/synthetic smell
The fof, mcnuggets and mc chicken all got that smell. Fries also. Even the big mac also like very dry compared to bk

I get what you mean but many times it's more of a convenience to me than anything else that's why I have McDonald's
Bk is indeed better especially many yrs ago. OOT, their nuggets is so much better than McDonald's cardboard version
Nowadays almost all fast food hv dropped in standard and size.
All got affected by the Muslim boycott and people avoiding expensive food.
I only eat once in a while.

esp the mcnuggets, mcchicken etc. even FOF got a very weird synthetic smell. maybe it was the oil + styrofoam boxes they used last time or what
but the smell i am quite sure is still prevalent in mcchicken

it's like they standardize this everywhere to ensure they all got the same smell and taste and all cook in the same timing so that there's little food issues
should be the oil and maybe the machines used. very distinct taste esp those fried with oil

Same for saf outfield ration have this metal taste but ok to me too.

actually my sense of smell and taste v accurate and usually i can detect what's in those so called secret recipes. not all lah, if they mask heavily with chili then maybe will not get it
but the outfield rations all these got that metallic/medical taste... that's preservatives lah and the food already cooked until very cooked so it tastes sterile also
speaking of which........... some combat rations cannot eat one somehow........ like the famous duck rice and the green pongtay chicken........ that one is not picky liao. duck rice think still barely ok but pongtay chicken that one cannot eat one. not sure why no one bring up that one often
i opened a packet once, the green is artificial green then it's not even the smell. the rice is totally uncooked.......... i believe they took that ration out liao or still have?
then that pasta my sgts say until so nice all looks and taste like shit. believe now still have right? that one rly got medical taste siah - i do think it's the seasoning and preservatives, reminds me of the username biomedicalpasta.

yea i can stomach them la and im not rly that picky. but then this kinds of helps me stay away from mcdonalds most of the time. altho there have been periods whereby i can go eat mcdonalds 3-4 times per week all of a sudden coz dont feel like eating hawker food
