I know this qn sounds absurd and we totally cannot choose parents. What my friend told me has set me thinking.
She is not old but she bought a niche beside her Dad and Mum. She says her Dad wished to find her when she passed on in future. That's why she bought a niche side by side with them. I feel it's very sweet and sad at the same time.

no need to study/ no need to pass test can be parents
not all ppl are good parents.. but at least they bring chiu to this world..
this is not like taking driving test, all drivers are qualified to drive once they licenced but having a baybee no need licence..

In my pa (n my uncles ) s world , parents are last name AlwaysRIGHT so he dare say any scary thing .. so we the next gen either diam diam or do sthg better than what they alws held as truth.. then they ll keep quiet
