Me recently buyed many many items from shopee. The pricing in shopee is so competitive compare to brick and mortar shops. Sorry local SME enterprises!
Recently me and my Mum went to visit temples to book slots for urns in future. The urns are sold separately from the urn slots. Each urn cost $300+ to 400+. Being the Gian Png apple I am too used to buying from shopee. I blurted out a stupid qn asking them whether can I buy urn from online instead of buying from them.
My Mum hear liao laughed.

My Mum is buying for herself and Dad. I also don't really care, scatter in sea also can. I'm not having kids anyway. These are meant for living to pray. Mum buys them for our convenience no need go mandai.

Hope they live a healthy and happy life 🙏
I personally know a family and saw with my eyes at the Columbarium that they already bought 8 to 10 niches side by side.
1st and 2nd levels: Known as the "filial" levels because descendants must kneel to pay their respects to their ancestors.
3rd and 4th levels: Here are the "wealth" levels, as descendants can assume a sitting position while praying.
6th and 7th levels: The "guardian" levels. Deceased placed here are thought to be looking out for their families.
8th and 9th levels: Called the "respect" levels, they symbolise high morality

Wah ok. Actually the very high level ones ah. Usually hard to reach by hand, are cheapest. This is my observation after going 2 columbarium.
In sengkang, the cheapest option is at the highest, it cost $5.5k, lower levels cost $7.5k.
In bishan, it cost $1.7k for the top row. Middle rows cost around $4k.
Ya u are right, third and fourth level usually quite expensive, I guess partly because more accessible can clean and wipe. Higher in demand.
Sounds like hdb flat pricing.
We are getting 2 spaces.
$2180 x 2
Urn around $330 x 2
Total $5k.
