Title: Is National Gallery a waste of taxpayers' monies?
Post by: Keeptrucking on Nov 19, 2024, 10:53 AM
always empty, and half the time nothing much going on or some nonsense exhibits. not a place tourists would go and pay money for and singaporeans enter free.

imagine all the jiak liao bee CEO, CFO, Directors, Managers... all working there. and i heard that their staff go overseas to tokyo, london for work trips to observe and learn from their museums.

really such a big drain of our money. no wonder what increase GST.

such profligate spending.

and can prob name a few more of such places in singapore.

yeah founders' memorial too, one of them. another waste of our money.

i agree that arts/cultural places are important. but we already have national museum, art museum, asian civilisation... we sld just combine art museum and national gallery into one. this way we can reduce staff overheads.

Our local scene quite pathetic. If only they focus on grooming local talents instead promoting a politician memorial.
