he studied until very high, scholar level. used to work garment jod in quite high position. but made the odd move of switching to work in SME, management role but just a normal employee. and he very pia in the SME work his heart out day and night, very dedicated worker. no relation to the SME boss
i don't understand this though. if he stayed in garment jod or jump to MNC with this kinda dedication he can achieve more.
he is still only in his 30s. very nice guy also
It's always the money
maybe the boss offered him shares and he sees potential?
big fish in small pond
and small fish in big sea theory
suddenly i think of this analogy for economics.
very morbid though
suppose u supply embalming equipment and chemicals. there are only 3-4 firms doing this. u do other chemicals and processing but this is your main biz
Each day avg maybe 100+ people die. it's split between the few firms quite equally and no one will kill this sacred good by charging cheaper and no need to run promotions coz it doesnt make sense.
means demand is pretty much inelastic
so for each person u make a confirmed profit of about $100. say u get 30 cases, means that is 3k per day
rental and your employees make up half the expenditure, others all go to your pocket
sg's population is ageing, so "biz" will slowly increase.........
such an industry can join what...
actually no need so specific, same like that Funeral director boss's biz........ demand is inelastic
for the $$ roh
anyway sme working jin flexible
work cheng hoo many forms to sign just to take a pen from the storeroom
:frown:
While the garment jod is iron rice bowl, many now given contract unless chiu join the white cult.
Not all r equal too. Then again inside filled w the likes of political & toxic ones, stab to climb up.
Good hardworking ppl will get out. So, other sectors will benefit and may actually be a good fit to this type of
good talented ppl. Hope more good ones come out from toxic workplace and contribute to other good sectors
