Where are you now compared to your peers?
me now low level....... if say when u start out at 1... my peers are at 5 and above. say level 10 is like highest level lah. maybe in private
CEO, CFO all these are considered level 10
9 is like deputy CEO etc. maybe this is cluster superintendent etc
8 is maybe VP? depends on the company. can be like general manager. if school is principal
7 is HOD (for private company) or vice principal if a school teacher route (or director in govt)
6 is maybe HOD or vice HOD for schools. or 6.5 is like deputy director
me currently maybe at 3 or 4 max. i think max i can reach is 5.
if u want to promote fast can just start biz then immediately become 10 :crazy:
but not like that de la....... if u start a total new biz i would say it's a 2 or max 3, and must at least be making money

as in can buy most or all of u want (depends on your expenditure, like maybe holidays twice per yr to far countries, or collecting toys, or buying 2 luxury watches)
i think for a lone person right, if got 10k-12k per mth (before CPF), can do many things liao. not talking about whole year package. we talk about monthly
bonuses are out of this consideration
i think minimally if say family with 2 kids. 12k total income is the very near bare minimum to get some perks now. probably cant own a car.
15k onwards will be better but maybe at most a bread and butter car? (if need one la). minimum income.
if really talk about scrimp and save, i think hmm......
if no car no house now, then just buy a 3 room. or 4 room. minimum 6k (after cpf). that's quite minimum without any thing else to have 2 kids
the housing prices are so crazy now

most of my peers are at level 5. many are heads and above liao, given age of around 40.
HOD level for say schools, or holds a mid level manager position
Career was going well till early 2000. Then saw many coys retrenching & new coy I joined boss asked me to put up names for each section.
From then on, coy kept on reducing staff till closed factory by damn cek ark CFO without giving payout. Moi left & other MNCs workplaces are so political & filled with many FTs hiring many non sinkies. Career stopped there in MNC & now with long established local coy. Stable decent income & earn enough to retire very comfortably.

Once in a while got bonus great
No : still pay me on time
Work don't stop me fr doing my thing
Culture n co workers bearable or nice or normal level
I do my rightful job 80-90% mostly
I m ok alr
I think most of my peers half like me half better than me
But I actually don't care hahah
They happy : great
I m happy : ok
I hv suffice for my dependents needs and own needs
Once in a while can give away a bit for loved ones ok alr
Eg bday treats
Sick or hl angpow
Baby angpow
Beareavemt fund
Wedding $
Sthg like that ok na
My last position level 9

Sometimes will happen to meet them or someone mention certain name etc and see their job titles

Head count total about 250-300 in sg china indon mea. Sg office only about 80 pax when I quit

Unfortunately org structure change when the owner son suddenly come back and become 1 of the bod.
Niamah put 1 biz unit above mine, I kana park beneath aneh mba reporting line. Never mind I lun cos my gm retiring soon ho say my turn to be gm liao. Knn mah the rest as u know lah. Aneh bring in another aneh take over the retired gm position. I lose all motivation liao. Quit within the month.
Even fr 25k a month I bth lun already l by then.
