I'd say not because Malaysia advanced more, but Singapore took a step back.

the problem is rly their laid back bumi policy
actually they rly got a sizable of talented population esp chinese. it's like when ure being driven to the edge u will be driven to succeed. much like israel or japan
and a lot of these leechers are in sg, but claim they love msia
but now a lot of IT and industries move to Msia liao. Anwar doing a lot
the thing is when will their bumi tulan again
u see Intel and Microsoft all move to Msia, it's very scary in many ways. then our oil industry also going down
left like finance type of industry but even UOB is moving there

My friend working in aws, recently he say malaysian lack talent in data center mgmt, most of the jhk talents are in sg
His counterpart in malaysia find it hard to find ppl to work, and the bumi policy make it hard for non malay to excel
So if continue bumi sure go down and anwar not god.. bumi not happy will vote pas, the pro islamic party
Bumi no Bumi doesn't matter. Even abolish, they will unofficially still protect own kind cos it's in their blood. Look beyond Malaysia, their kind are all the same
Those rich ones are lucky cos they got oil. Those poor ones are poor cos no oil, no talent and are lazy
However, real problem is not they progressing but sg regressing

then most likely hire in SG but work in Msia.
win win for jhks
then SG less pie

actually it's very hard to grow SG, #1 factor is lack of land. if we were 2-3x now, we will have a lot more room to grow
but the JH SG SEZ, i really think it's a very very very dangerous project. like the suzhou, only way way worse in many ways
i also dont think buy house in jiuhu is good. unless u are damn rich and it's mainly for staying as holiday home and sometimes rent out
if u are just ok to do, it's a place to dump there for retirement......... can only throw what u can afford to lose there
if u are rich enough, buy 2-3 properties that one is dangerous also
even if johor or entire jiuhu prosper, they can simply find ways to disallow u from renting. there are many ways to skin a cat.
we dont have leverage.
they can make it such that, renters will need to consider renting from locals first. or impose taxes or higher taxes on singapore land/property owners
i feel LW's govt rly is ball less. but at the same time i think they dont dare to antagonize Msia
hence we allow PRs to buy hdb and many lax rules
frankly, now we still that leverage for nxt 10 yrs, LW should have that iron fist to enforce it. disallow PRs from buying. or pay higher price. and can only sell back to HDB
u dont eat them now what makes u think Msia wont eat u in future? if u rem my previous posts on HDB there are tonnes of ways to skin msia cats now
it's a dog eat dog world. u dont enforce policies to help urself and singaporeans then wait until Msia has the edge in 15 yrs time then enforce this shit?

Yah, the reason sg will regress to malaysia's level is because sg imports many Chinese malaysians into sg. And they will turn sg into a mini Malaysia.
The jhk/jhb bring their racist minority mentality into sg and influence sg chinese to turn against our local malay and indian brothers. This is something that the sg govt have no guts to address.

Can only say LW and co kena hookwinked and makan by malaysia to do the sez and the rts. Sg's glory days are over.
