For those who believe in supernatural
Nestled deep in the heart of the dense, foreboding Blackwood Forest lay the abandoned Blackwood Manor. It was a sprawling, gothic structure that had long fallen into disrepair. The locals whispered about the manor, but none dared to venture near it, especially after nightfall. The manor was said to be cursed, and the rumors of hauntings had persisted for over a century.
The story begins with a young couple, Emily and James, who were avid adventurers and lovers of the supernatural. They had heard the legends of Blackwood Manor and decided to investigate it for their paranormal blog. Armed with cameras, flashlights, and a sense of excitement, they set out for the manor one chilly autumn evening.
As they approached the manor, the air grew colder, and the dense fog wrapped around them like a shroud. The iron gates creaked open, seemingly of their own accord, and the couple stepped onto the overgrown path leading to the entrance. The manor loomed above them, its broken windows resembling empty, soulless eyes.
Inside, the manor was a labyrinth of dark hallways and rooms filled with decaying furniture and cobwebs. The air was heavy with the scent of mildew and something else—something unidentifiable but deeply unsettling. Emily and James set up their equipment and began their exploration.
Hours passed with nothing more than creaking floorboards and distant, unidentifiable noises. Frustrated, they decided to split up to cover more ground. James ventured into the west wing while Emily explored the east.
In the dim light of her flashlight, Emily stumbled upon a grand, dust-covered ballroom. As she panned her flashlight across the room, she noticed a large, ornate mirror on one wall. As she approached it, she saw a faint, shadowy figure standing behind her in the reflection. She spun around, but there was no one there. Her heart pounded, but she attributed it to her imagination and continued.
Meanwhile, James found himself in the manor's library. It was filled with ancient, leather-bound books, their spines cracked with age. He felt an inexplicable chill and a sense of being watched. Suddenly, the heavy library door slammed shut, plunging the room into darkness. His flashlight flickered and then died. Panic set in as he fumbled to open the door, but it wouldn't budge.
Emily heard the distant slam and called out for James, but her voice echoed through the empty halls with no response. She hurried toward the west wing, her footsteps echoing loudly. As she turned a corner, she saw a figure at the end of the hallway—a woman in a tattered white dress, her face obscured by long, matted hair. The woman began to glide toward her, not walking but floating just above the ground.
Frozen in fear, Emily watched as the apparition moved closer. The air grew frigid, and she could see her breath misting in front of her. The ghostly figure raised a skeletal hand and pointed directly at her. Suddenly, Emily felt a cold hand grip her shoulder. She screamed and bolted down the hallway, not stopping until she reached the library.
She found James desperately trying to pry the door open. Together, they managed to force it open and stumbled out into the hallway. They raced through the manor, hearing whispers and seeing shadows darting around them. The house seemed to come alive with malevolent energy, determined to keep them there.
Finally, they burst through the front door and into the foggy night. As they ran down the path, the manor seemed to groan and creak as if disappointed by their escape. They didn't stop until they reached their car and sped away, not daring to look back.
To this day, Emily and James never speak of what they experienced in Blackwood Manor. They abandoned their blog and moved far away, but the memories of that night still haunt them. They know that the manor's spirits are still there, waiting for the next curious souls to enter their domain, where the whispering shadows and ghostly apparitions remain eternally vigilant.

The Haunting of Old Changi Hospital
Old Changi Hospital, perched on a hill overlooking Changi Village in Singapore, is a place steeped in history and shrouded in ghostly tales. Built in 1935, it was originally a British military hospital before becoming a prison camp during the Japanese occupation in World War II. The hospital witnessed unspeakable horrors during the war, and it's said that the spirits of the tortured and tormented still linger there, unable to find peace.
The story begins with a group of friends, Alex, Ming, Priya, and Siti, who were urban explorers and thrill-seekers. They had heard the spine-chilling tales of Old Changi Hospital and decided to explore it on a dare. Armed with flashlights and cameras, they set off on a humid, moonless night.
As they approached the crumbling facade of the hospital, a sense of dread washed over them. The building loomed like a dark sentinel against the night sky, its broken windows resembling empty, watchful eyes. They squeezed through a gap in the rusted gates and entered the grounds, their footsteps crunching on the gravel path.
Inside, the hospital was a maze of decaying corridors and empty rooms, each echoing with the memories of the past. The air was thick with the smell of damp and decay, and an eerie silence enveloped them, broken only by the occasional drip of water and the scurrying of unseen creatures.
The friends decided to split up to cover more ground. Alex and Ming headed to the upper floors while Priya and Siti explored the basement. As Alex and Ming climbed the rickety stairs, they could feel the temperature dropping. Their breaths misted in the cold air, and they heard faint whispers, though they couldn't make out the words.
On the second floor, they found a room filled with old hospital beds, their metal frames rusted and mattresses rotting. As they shone their flashlights around, they noticed dark stains on the floor—remnants of the hospital's gruesome past. Suddenly, Ming felt a tug on his shirt. He turned around, but there was no one there. "Did you feel that?" he asked, his voice shaking. Alex nodded, his face pale.
Meanwhile, in the basement, Priya and Siti stumbled upon the hospital's old morgue. The heavy steel doors stood ajar, and a musty smell wafted out. Inside, they found rows of empty, rusting gurneys and broken equipment. As they explored, Siti heard a faint sobbing sound. "Do you hear that?" she whispered. Priya nodded, and they followed the sound to a small, dark room at the end of the corridor.
The room was empty except for an old, cracked mirror hanging on the wall. The sobbing grew louder, and as they looked into the mirror, they saw the reflection of a young woman in a white dress, her face contorted in anguish. She reached out towards them, her eyes pleading. Priya and Siti screamed and bolted from the room, their footsteps echoing through the basement.
Back upstairs, Alex and Ming were trying to find their way back when they heard the girls' screams. They hurried down the stairs, but as they reached the first floor, the front door slammed shut with a deafening bang. The lights of their flashlights flickered and went out, plunging them into darkness.
Panicking, they called out for Priya and Siti, but their voices seemed to be swallowed by the oppressive silence. Then, from the shadows, figures began to emerge—translucent shapes of soldiers, nurses, and patients, all with hollow eyes and haunting expressions. The friends huddled together, surrounded by the spectral apparitions.
Suddenly, the air was filled with the sound of anguished cries and screams, as if the walls themselves were reliving the horrors of the past. The friends could feel icy hands reaching out, brushing against their skin, pulling at their clothes. Desperate, they pushed through the phantoms and raced towards the back door.
They burst outside into the night, gasping for breath. The hospital loomed behind them, dark and silent once more. They didn't stop running until they were far from the hospital grounds. Shaken and terrified, they vowed never to speak of that night again.
To this day, Old Changi Hospital stands as a testament to its haunted past. Locals avoid it, and those who dare to venture inside speak of the restless spirits that wander its halls, forever bound to the place of their suffering. The hospital remains a chilling reminder of the dark history that lingers just beneath the surface of modern Singapore.

Shared this before. My most memorable one happened in my childhood house. Was in primary school then, I was having lunch in the kitchen when from the corner of my eye I saw my mum walking behind me to get to the toilet
The toilet door was not closed after she entered so I assumed she was just retrieving some stuff or washing her hands. However, she din come out of the toilet after some time so I went to check. Nobody is inside! I quickly ran to my parents room and found my mum there and told her about it

That one haunted for sure.
I ish see with my own eyes on those weekend thon night rendezvous
I shared before but not sure if here.
Last time I was in the emergency department when we all take report in the report room. The door to the report room has no spring so it means whoever opens the door must shut the door
So there would always be late comers who would rush in and never shut the door and the in charge would scold the latecomers and tell them to shut the door
Then once it happened. The latecomers rushed in and the in charge shouted at the latecomers to shut the door and the door swung shut. Not with a bang but gently as if someone was closing the door but no one was there.
We all looked at the door and looked at the in charge and she muttered it's the wind

This is not a ghost story from me but working in the hospital, dying patients always say they see their deceased relatives nearby waiting for them.
There was one very scary story which involved my partner during shift but not me. And got a minor part two
I worked in an isolation ward once so it's double door entry. You open the outer door, go in, outer door close, inner door open then you do in. It's the reverse when you go out so it's ver6 troublesome cos there is no direct way you. You need one door to open and close behind you before the other door open. All doors require you to push a button to open so it's own time own target just that both doors cannot open together. Has to be like this to give people time to gown up in the "space in between first and second door".
Anyway one night there was this very ill patient inside so my colleague went in to do something. The patient tell her can she tell the lady in red to stop disturbing her? My colleague say where is this lady as she was alone with him and he just said standing behind you. My friend got a fright and looked behind but no one was there. She tried to get out but the button spoilt so she was stuck in the room while she kept pressing the button.
She told me she almost broke down when the door opened.
This was our first night shift. The patient died in the morning. The following night, we saw the room was now empty. At 12 midnight the call bell rang. Now, the design is such that to off the call bell, you need to physically go to the bedside to off it as management did not want us to off the call bell from the nurse station.
So my colleague tell me to go in to off the call bell. Bear in mind I heard the story from her liao cos we were together the previous night. So I gulped, went in, off the call bell and came out. Nothing happened. But the call bell came on a few more times that night. Each time I off it and went out
wah i love ghost stories. bumping this.
i don't have personal experiences to share.
anything remotely paranormal was during NS as a recruit in Tekong Camp 1, those long houses bunks.
there were two dogs there who are very docile and quiet in the day time. but at night they will just stare at a certain spot and bark non stop, and no one could stop them.
my bunk mates experienced bed shaking and scratching, marching sounds at night. but i slept like a log most days haha.
last time moi was in signal for training. got 1 outfield exercise inside tekong, they ask moi and buddy go advance into jungle at night. we jitao go in deep deep then wait there for everyone to come. plan was for them to meet us then we all go back camp.
then we heard a group go pass us around 400 meters away. we thought they took wrong path or we took wrong path so we follow them la. by the time we go down that path, cannot find them. then we act smart go follow the path, follow until reach back camp.
tio gan from encik, kenna sign extra cause we never wait for our party.
then we also blur, we thought the party left us. the party thought we lost.
until today i also dunno wtf we saw and follow cause we were the only ones out there.
