Title: Office rentals in Singapore
Post by: Keeptrucking on Jun 06, 2024, 12:15 PM
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/struggling-business-park-deals-blow-220018011.html

i saw this report and I wonder why we are still building new offices. esp with remote work and how so many companies are either downsizing or moving into small spaces.

in fact, after Unilever left their three floor space in Mapletree Business City, it was vacant for a good three years or so. One floor was only recently taken up and the other two remain empty.

the space is right in the middle of the business city, just in front of the drop off area. so it is a good location.

and now there is another Labrador Tower coming up, with more office space. who are the tenants?

don't know why we are having new buildings and no idea who is filling them up.

There used to be a period where I wanted to rent office space just to place a sleeping bag inside to sleep. $500/mth is very affordable.

Word. A lot of idiots think that the PAP really cares for the people when they only care about the numbers.

Our land's landlord achieved it's aim liao. Spending money down to construction coy. Maple tree another socializing cost, privatizing profit.

Just looking at coy co-sharing work spaces. 63 Robinson road. Afro-Asia building. Anyone working in such environment before?

Are coys going towards such work arrangements?
Good or no good? Izzit no need fixed office spaces for permanent employees?

this new one is coming up just opposite Mapletree Business City at Pasir Panjang.

https://www.labradortower.com/

huge building.

but i still see two floors of prime office space (vacated by Unilever) empty after what 2/3 years in mapletree. and I believe the Google office in mapletree is also cutting down their workforce and taking up lesser space?

I believe that Labrador Park tower rental might be higher because it is much nearer to Pasir Panjang MRT.

so, i wonder who will take up the space at Labrador Tower given how bad mapletree is doing?
